Maremma — Properties Between Coast and Countryside

Average price: € 1.600/m²

Real Estate Market Maremma

The Maremma is the province of Grosseto, set between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the hills of Monte Amiata. It is the least densely populated province in Tuscany. The market has two faces: the coast (Monte Argentario, Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala) with prices at Chianti level or above, and the hinterland (Scansano, Pitigliano, Saturnia) with the lowest entry prices in Tuscany. The price gap between coast and inland runs at a factor of 3 to 4. Buyers here typically find a better ratio of land and space to price than in other Tuscan regions.

Lifestyle & Living

Mornings at the beach, afternoons in the hills. Morellino di Scansano (DOCG), the thermal baths of Saturnia, and an intact Butteri tradition (Maremma cowboys) give the region its own character.
